Never Ignore Safety Hazard
It’s just a little spill on the floor, or just a cracked rung on a ladder, or just a little bit of sparking when you turn the switch.
But that small spill could cause a co-worker to fall and break a leg. The cracked rung could collapse and send someone falling to the ground and suffering a head injury.
A safe workplace is free of hazards, even those hazards which may seem unimportant. When you notice something is wrong, you must correct it if you can, or report it so someone else can take care of it.
When something is wrong, do something about it. If you see a hazard, repair or report it. If you have a close call, report the incident so it does not happen again with worse consequences. If you observe an unsafe work practice by anyone, speak up.
The safety of your co-worker depends on you taking responsibility to correct all safety hazards. Never just ignore them.
