Tool Safety Starts With the Manual, Ends With You
Tools are all about convenience and saving time. Unfortunately, in the rush to get jobs done, people sometimes take unwise shortcuts with tools. One example of a shortcut is not reading the owner’s manual for a new power tool, and because you weren’t operating it properly, experiencing a close call.
Take the Time For PPE:
Workers don’t always take the time to find and use personal protective equipment (PPE). These are the people you see cutting a lawn in flip flops or grinding metal without wearing safety glasses.
Think of how little time it takes to put on a pair of safety glasses, gloves or work boots. There’s simply no excuse for not wearing PPE.
When operating tools, build safety into every project.
