Shiftwork, defined as working outside normal daylight hours of 7 a.m.-6 p.m., is a double-edged sword.
Some workers love being able to go for a bike ride or do chores during quieter times while their 9-5 counterparts are at work. Others enjoy working night shifts because it can be quieter, with fewer bosses around. Sometimes the pay is better too.
