We All Pay For Horseplay
It starts with a great idea to do something really surprising and see the funny look on somebody’s face. It can end with an ambulance carrying a body away, the fire department pouring water on what’s left of the building - or you looking for another job.
What we are talking about is the workplace prank. Whether the jokes are simple or elaborate, slapstick or subtle, they probably have some elements in common.
A practical joke is often funny only to the person who dreamed it up. To the victim, the situation is more likely to be painful and humiliating.
In some areas horseplay is prohibited by government regulations - you could be fined. The only way to do things at work is the safe way. Pranks and horseplay are not safe and have no place on the job.
