The Only Stupid Question Is The One That Isn’t Asked
A supervisor who is an excellent safety trainer leaves nothing to chance. Hazards will be pointed out and repeated, such as, “Remember, NEVER touch this button if you hear a warning beep.”
A new employee will be asked to rephrase what was said and questioned to ensure that the information was understood. Then the worker will be asked to demonstrate the procedure.
If you learn from a great trainer, you probably won’t have many questions and you’ll probably feel fine asking them. But if you find yourself in a workplace where the safety training is rushed or poor, you still need to ask questions of your supervisors and co-workers.
