If It Seems Unsafe...It Probably Is!
Recognizing hazards is the first step in preventing injuries. While not all workplace hazards are obvious, many are plainly visible.
Use your safety instincts. If something seems unsafe, it probably is.
Safety training fine-tunes your safety instincts. You learn exactly why something is hazardous to your life and health, and how to protect yourself.
Some hazards are not obvious, however. For example, you can’t see an atmospheric hazard such as a poisonous gas or a lack of oxygen, but it can be fatal. You can’t see electrical current, but it can kill you.
This is why you need training in the hazards of your job and why you must always be on the lookout for potential hazards — so you will know about the ones which are not easy to detect.
