Safety: Attitude is Everything. How’s Yours?

Safety should be everyone’s concern and responsibility, but sadly, many workers don’t see it that way. By failing to take action, failing to report an incident, or ignoring a close call, you could be gambling with someone’s life – even your own.

• Adopting and promoting a safety-conscious attitude in the workplace will help prevent incidents and injuries. Here are some points to consider:
• A good attitude is infectious. Spread it around.  
• Lead by example: take responsibility for your actions, your workplace environment and the people around you.  
• Be a friend. Help a co-worker or new employee who may be at risk of injury through inexperience or lack of training. You were there once yourself and were probably grateful for any help you received.
