Follow procedure for confined space entry
What you don’t know certainly can hurt you, especially where confined spaces are involved. Part of the problem is that not everyone recognizes what a confined space is.
Confined spaces aren’t necessarily obvious, and by the time a person who has entered one becomes aware that something isn’t right, often it’s too late to get out alive.
One could write a book on the topic of confined space safety – and many have done so – but knowing a few basic rules will help you avoid becoming a confined space statistic.
A confined space is any space large enough for a worker to enter and perform work. It is not designed for continuous occupancy and has limited or restricted means for entry or exit.
